Job summary

UBS Global Markets in London is seeking an engineer/researcher to join the CRB desk, a front-office role at the intersection of software engineering, data science, quantitative research, and trading technology.

You will collaborate with traders and quants to develop AI tooling, analytics platforms, and production-grade systems, applying statistical techniques to improve decision-making, automation, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Excellent Python programming skills.
• Experience with Linux/Unix environments.
• Experience with CI/CD, automation, monitoring, and DevOps practices.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance front-office applications, automation frameworks, and trading support tools.
• Build and manage the desk's AI tooling and contribute to the continued development of the desk's research platform.
• Apply data science and statistical techniques to improve decision-making, workflow automation, monitoring, and analytics.
• Design, implement, and maintain production-grade software solutions used by the desk on a daily basis.
• Work with large datasets to generate insights, improve operational efficiency, and support research initiatives.
• Develop monitoring, reporting, and operational tooling to support automated trading and market-making systems.
• Contribute to the reliability, scalability, and performance of the desk's technology stack.
• Collaborate closely with traders, quants, and developers to solve challenging business and technical problems.
