A prominent healthcare provider in Stockport is seeking a Band 2 Front Office Medical Laboratory Assistant. This role primarily involves clerical duties and processing patient samples in the Pathology department. Ideal candidates will possess strong numeracy and literacy skills, alongside good communication and customer service abilities. This position offers a full-time contract with various employee benefits, including annual leave and a pension scheme.
Full time - 37.5h per week.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 10:00 – 18:30, plus weekend early shifts 09:00–12:00 as overtime (1 in every 2 weekends).
NOTE: This is largely a clerical role. Lab visits are encouraged (see contact details).
The Pathology department at Stepping Hill Hospital (Stockport NHS Foundation Trust) is seeking a Front Office MLA to join the Blood Sciences team to assist with processing samples that arrive in the lab. The successful applicant(s) will join a friendly and passionate staffing group providing diagnostic services to the hospital patients and wider community. The role is based in the Pathology Reception and will primarily deal with service users face to face or via telephone and answer any queries.
Good standard of numeracy and literacy, excellent communication and customer service skills and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Full training for this role will be provided.
