Mercure Oxford Hawkwell House is a picturesque boutique hotel that occupies three buildings, two of which are 19th‑century manor houses bursting with character. The hotel has been newly refurbished with a decor based on Oxford style vintage fashion and is set amidst 3 acres of private gardens only 2 miles from Oxford city centre.

Job Description

As our next Front Office Manager you will manage the Front of House department, ensuring operational excellence across all areas of the hotel. You will lead a high‑energy team, support staff, take initiative in reactive situations, and work duty‑manager shifts as required. Your focus will be on creating extraordinary guest experiences and delivering great service.

Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role or supervisor role with 2‑3 years experience
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and training skills
  • Good communication and customer contact skills
  • Results‑oriented and detail‑focused service orientation
  • Ability to multi‑task and work well in stressful, high‑pressure situations

  • Motivator and self‑starter
  • Well‑presented and professionally groomed at all times
