Responsibilities
Here’s what your journey with us entails:
- To be able to deal with advance reservations,
taking new bookings, amending existing bookings.
- Ability to operate the switchboard and/or answer
the telephone and deal with messages and enquiries when required, in an
efficient manner.
- To receive guests on arrival, providing good
hospitality and a warm welcome in line with Marriott Standards. To enter
the guests details into the system correctly and efficiently.
- To assist guests with all their requests, queries
and dealing with any guest challenges in an efficient, proactive and
responsible manner.
- To post transactions on a regular basis, to
ensure that all bills are kept up to date and are accurate. Ensure correct charges are posted to the
correct bills.
- To prepare cash for banking on a daily
basis. Complete receipts for all
monies received from departmental pay-ins.
Operate due care regarding rates and currency handling to ensure we
maximise profits.
- To conduct a correct shift handover between each
shift.
Safety and Company Policies
- Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
- Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to the manager.
- Complete safety training and certifications.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Communicate with others using clear and professional language.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others.
- Support the team to reach common goals.
- Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards.

- Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience in a customer service role.
- Supervisory Experience: None required.
