MacC Hair Belfast is a leading Belfast city‑centre salon known for its creative talent, exceptional service and vibrant team culture. We’re committed to providing every client with a premium experience from the moment they walk through our doors. We’re looking for a Front of House Receptionist to be the welcoming face of the salon and ensure smooth day‑to‑day operations, supporting the stylists and maintaining our high standards of customer care.

Responsibilities
  • Greet all clients on arrival.
  • Manage check‑ins, appointment confirmations and client queries in person, by phone and via digital channels.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service and uphold MacC Hair’s brand values at all times.
  • Schedule and manage appointments using salon booking software.
  • Optimise stylist columns to ensure maximum efficiency and minimal downtime.
  • Handle cancellations, re‑bookings and last‑minute changes with confidence and clarity.
  • Manage payment transactions, refunds and daily till reconciliation.
  • Maintain the front desk area, ensuring it is organised, clean and presentable.
  • Support salon management with administrative tasks such as stock recording, daily checklists and client follow‑up.
  • Assist with implementing salon promotions, retail displays and upsell opportunities.
  • Act as the central communication point between clients, stylists and management.
  • Proactively support stylists by preparing client notes, alerting them to arrivals and assisting with smooth client flow.
  • Help maintain salon standards, including cleanliness, service readiness and professional presentation.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Confident using booking systems, technology and payment terminals.
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient during busy periods.
  • Previous experience in a salon, hospitality, retail or front‑of‑house environment is preferred.
Further Information

Working hours: up to 25 hours per week. Flexible or reduced hours may be available with approval. Additional hours may be offered depending on availability. The advert may close early at the employer’s discretion.
