Join bdna as our UK Country Manager and lead the growth of our Public Safety Platform across the UK and neighbouring markets. Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you'll drive strategic market development, shape go‑to‑market solutions, and ensure our platform meets the highest operational standards. This pivotal role blends outward‑facing responsibilities—building relationships with clients, agencies and partners—with internal collaboration across product, engineering and global go‑to‑market teams. You'll be accountable for regional profit and loss, financial sustainability, and the successful deployment and adoption of our platform.
Responsibilities
- Strategy and Market Development – deliver the UK go‑to‑market strategy, identify and prioritise client segments, tailor solutions and commercial models, and channel regional needs and regulatory requirements into product planning.
- Sales and Business Development – lead business development, revenue growth and market expansion through effective collaboration with the Commercial team; manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to closing across licensing, subscriptions and services, and manage public sector procurement, RFPs and compliance.
- Financial Performance and Sustainability – develop, monitor and deliver annual budgets and forecasts for the UK region; drive revenue growth while managing costs to optimise profitability and support long‑term sustainability, ensuring all financial operations comply with legal, regulatory and corporate standards.
- Partner/Ecosystem Development – build and manage local partner networks (system integrators, labs, vendors, consultancies); maintain relationships with partners, industry bodies and regulators.
- Deployment, Onboarding and Customer Success – oversee deployments, integrations, onboarding and support for the region; drive adoption, usage, retention and satisfaction, feeding customer insights into product development.
- Governance, Compliance and Risk – ensure contractual obligations are met, monitor and manage compliance with legal, data protection and regulatory mandates, and oversee risk, quality, audits and performance.
Qualifications & Experience
- Platform exposure: 10+ years’ experience working with software/platform/SaaS businesses, ideally in secure, forensic or policing ecosystems.
- Industry expertise: experience in law enforcement, forensic science, investigative work or regulatory investigations (or equivalent).
- Commercial experience: proven record of business development, managing complex sales (especially in public/regulated sectors), tenders, contracting and P&L responsibility.
- Stakeholder engagement: comfortable engaging with senior law enforcement, government, regulators, scientific leads and external agencies.
- Legal/regulatory understanding: familiarity with evidentiary standards, chain‑of‑custody, accreditation, data privacy and compliance frameworks.
- Leadership & scaling experience: experience managing teams, building capability, scaling operations and navigating change.
- Cross‑jurisdictional adaptability: ability to operate in multiple jurisdictions, understand local constraints and coordinate with global teams.
- Preferred: experience managing channel/partner ecosystems or system integrators and participation in policing and forensic standards bodies or professional associations.
