Job summary

RTL Group Ltd is seeking a Front Line Supervisor to support a Thames Water civil engineering project. The role involves supervising site operatives and subcontractors, managing day-to-day activities, and ensuring works are delivered safely and on programme.

The ideal candidate will have a strong civils background, knowledge of RAMS, and a full UK driving licence, with experience on water infrastructure projects. Immediate start available on a national-scale project portfolio.

Qualifications

• CSCS required for site access and safety compliance.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification preferred for supervising schemes.
• Previous experience on Thames Water or water infrastructure projects.
• Strong civil engineering background with demonstrable supervision of site teams and subcontractors.
• Good RAMS knowledge and adherence to health, safety and quality standards.
• EUSR Cat 1 & 2 qualification is required.
• IT literate with ability to use standard site software and reporting tools.
• Full UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead toolbox talks and supervise site operatives and subcontractors.
• Manage day-to-day site activities, labour, plant and materials.
• Ensure works are delivered on programme, to specification and safely.
• Maintain quality standards and site records.
• Liaise with Thames Water and report progress to the Site Manager.

My client are a national civil engineering contractor who are currently seeking a Front Line Supervisor to help deliver a Thames Water project, with an immediate start available. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Supervisor with a strong water and civils background to join an established project team.

Front Line Supervisor Responsibilities

• Toolbox talks
• Supervising site operatives and subcontractors
• Managing day-to-day site activities
• Allocating labour, plant and materials
• Client liaison with Thames Water
• Health and safety compliance
• Ensuring works are carried out in line with RAMS
• Monitoring progress and reporting to the Site Manager
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme and to specification
• Maintaining quality standards and site records
• Supporting the Site Manager with the day-to-day running of the project

Front Line Supervisor Requirements

• CSCS
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• Previous experience working on Thames Water or water infrastructure projects
• Strong civil engineering background
• Experience supervising site teams and subcontractors
• Good understanding of RAMS, health and safety and quality requirements
