Job summary

Straight-Line Group Services Ltd in Leicester is seeking an experienced Production Team Leader to oversee daily operations in our food manufacturing site. You will lead by example, drive performance, and ensure production targets are met while upholding the highest standards of food safety and quality.

The role requires hands-on leadership, coaching of teams, and close collaboration with Engineering and Maintenance to minimise downtime, reduce waste, and implement continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Production Team Leader, Shift Leader, or Supervisor within the food manufacturing industry.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and quality systems.
• Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills.
• A proactive approach with a passion for continuous improvement.
• Good IT skills and experience using production or manufacturing systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate daily production activities across processing and packing.
• Ensure production targets, KPIs, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
• Motivate, coach, and develop production teams to maximise performance.
• Maintain the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, HACCP, and health & safety compliance.

• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with Engineering and Maintenance teams to ensure smooth production operations.
• Complete production documentation accurately and use production systems effectively.

We are recruiting for a hands‑on Production Team Leader to oversee daily production operations, inspire teams, and ensure products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

The Role

As Production Team Leader, you will play a key role in managing production across processing and packing operations. You will lead by example, ensuring production targets are achieved while maintaining exceptional food safety, hygiene, and health & safety standards.
