Job summary

Sky is seeking a Front-End Technical Lead to join our TV & Digital Engineering team, shaping the delivery of innovative customer experiences across Sky’s TV platforms and partnerships, including Disney+ and HBO integrations. You will influence Sky’s web and agent journeys and lead a cross-functional engineering squad.

Qualifications

• Extensive client-side JavaScript experience with strong knowledge of React.
• Excellent HTML & CSS skills.
• Practical experience with GraphQL and TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing).
• Experience with CI pipelines (e.g. Jenkins or similar tools).
• Hands-on experience with unit testing (e.g. Jest, React Testing Library).
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams / squads in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

This role plays a key part in shaping and delivering the digital journeys that power major partnerships and products, including integrations with leading streaming services such as Disney+ and HBO, as well as Sky’s own customer journeys across web and agent platforms.

What You’ll Bring

Essential criteria:

• Exposure to cross-functional collaboration (architecture, DevOps, data, product, delivery teams)

How You’ll Work

We've adopted a hybrid working approach to give more flexibility on where and how we work. The hybrid working expectations for this role are 2 days in the office per week.

Livingston Watermark Sky Watermark is our central site for Livingston, sitting between Glasgow and Edinburgh. With vibrant office spaces, chill-out areas, and an onsite canteen, it’s a great place to work and connect.
