Job summary

HSBC Group is seeking a Front End Engineer to join the AI Platforms team to build the AgentHub user experience and developer tools. You will contribute hands-on to design, development, and delivery of unified frontend experiences across agent creation, configuration and orchestration, while ensuring security and governance.

You will work on integrating with backend services, event streams, and platform APIs, and contribute to automated testing strategies across unit, integration and end-to-end

Job description

• Develop AgentHub web applications and developer experiences using React, Next.js and TypeScript.
• Build interfaces for:
• Agent creation and configuration.
• Workflow design and orchestration.
• Tool and MCP server management.
• Prompt and model configuration.
• Memory and context settings.
• Agent triggers and API configuration.
• Testing, evaluation and approval workflows.
• Runtime monitoring and operational dashboards.
• Policy and control visibility.
• Develop reusable frontend components and patterns.
• Build low-code experiences that enable users to create agents and workflows without compromising security or operational controls.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs, event streams and platform services.
• Support agent lifecycle journeys covering development, testing, approval, deployment and retirement.
• Provide clear feedback on validation errors, policy decisions, approval requirements and runtime status.
  Significant frontend engineering experience with React, Next.js and TypeScript, with experience using Kubernetes, Docker & CI/CD
• Experience designing and building enterprise-grade web applications and developer platforms .
• Strong understanding of frontend architecture, state management, API integration and asynchronous workflows.
• Experience with automated testing, including unit, integration and end-to-end testing.
• Understanding of REST APIs, event-driven systems and distributed platform architecture.
• Exposure to GenAI, LLMs, agentic workflows, MCP, RAG or AI platform concepts.

We build shared AI foundations that enable teams across the Bank to deliver AI solutions faster, more safely and at scale. Our platform provides a "paved road" for AI delivery, bringing together seamless access to AI models and infrastructure, a consistent Agent HUB to build, deploy and manage production-ready AI agents, reusable AI capabilities (such as knowledge management and document intelligence), and built-in controls including guardrails, evaluation and monitoring to support responsible adoption. You'll be a hands-on contributor to the design and development of the AgentHub user experience.
