As a Front‑End Developer, you will become an integral part of the wider Digital Marketing team for Mobiles.co.uk and part of the Currys group. You will play a key role in designing and implementing user interfaces for our website. You will work closely with the design and back‑end development teams to deliver seamless, responsive, and visually appealing user experiences. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of front‑end technologies, a passion for creating user‑friendly interfaces, and the ability to stay up to date with industry trends.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers/back‑end developers to translate design mock‑ups into responsive and interactive web pages and user journeys
  • Lead alongside the Marketing Executive to deliver the A/B testing roadmap
  • Develop and maintain the front end of our web applications, ensuring fast loading times and smooth user experiences
  • Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Ensure we follow SEO coding practice (Alt tags, lazy loads, script triggers etc)
  • Work closely with back‑end developers to integrate user‑facing elements with server‑side logic
  • Ensure code is built to all provided viewports and is responsive with mobile first
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
  • Stay updated on emerging trends and technologies in front‑end development
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to front‑end development
  • Work as part of a team, never being afraid to challenge and support concepts and designs
  • Welcome and contribute to brainstorming sessions, embracing a culture where no idea is considered a bad idea
Required Skills & Experience
  • 3 years+ proven experience as a Front‑End Developer or similar role
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery
  • Experience in working with Bootstrap framework
  • Experience with front‑end frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
  • Experience working with A/B testing platforms such as Optimizely, Adobe Target
  • Familiarity with responsive design principles and cross‑browser compatibility
  • Knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment
  • Great interpersonal skills
  • Ability to influence and inspire across the business
  • Positive attitude to feedback
  • Ability to work to deadlines & under pressure
  • Strong typographic skills
  • Resourceful, with the ability to make something from nothing
Nice to have
  • Experience with mobile app development (iOS/Android)
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Familiarity with build tools and package managers (Webpack, npm, etc.)
  • Understanding of SEO principles
