Job summary

Edinburgh Health & Social Care Partnership is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join our busy Front Door Social Work Team. The post involves undertaking initial social work assessments, risk assessment and risk management to support adults, their families and carers in a multidisciplinary setting.

We offer hybrid and home working arrangements, with PVG scheme checks required prior to formal offer. A degree/diploma in Social Work and SSSC registration are essential, with ongoing supervision

Qualifications

• Must hold a degree/diploma or equivalent qualification in Social Work.
• Must be registered or in the process of registering with the Scottish Social Services Council.
• Post-qualification PVG Scheme checks will apply (fee covered by employer).

Responsibilities

• Carry out initial social work assessments, including risk assessment and risk management.
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to support adults, their families and carers, balancing risk and need with rights and choices.
• Provide advice, support and guidance, and interventions if an adult is at risk of harm under relevant legislation.
• Participate in regular supervision and training to support practice development.
