Job summary

Tesco is seeking Customer Delivery Drivers to join our team and bring groceries to customers’ homes. You’ll work independently much of the day with support available from base when needed. The role is hands-on and varied, with a guaranteed minimum of 16 hours per week and shifts starting at £14.18 per hour, rising to £15.45 in M25 stores.

Some locations offer additional payments. You’ll be responsible for safe loading, vehicle checks, and guiding customers through substitutions or requests,

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence (full or automatic) for at least 12 months with no more than 3 penalty points.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Willingness to be on the road and adapt to varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Keeping your van, trays, and work area clean, tidy, and organised so every customer receives their shopping in perfect condition.
• Loading the van safely and completing checks to ensure it’s roadworthy and reliable.
• Talking customers through order changes, substitutions, or short-dated items in a friendly way, and offering refunds where needed to keep the experience smooth.
• Handling products with care to maintain quality and customer trust.
• Delivering within the customer’s time slot and providing warm, natural service at the doorstep.
