Job summary

Level Up Recruitment is seeking an experienced Buyer for a fast-paced role in Fleetwood. You will buy fresh fish and seafood, manage stock and pricing, and work closely with Sales, National Accounts, and leadership to meet demand and maximise margins.

Ideal candidates have proven buying experience in fresh foods and can adapt quickly to market changes, with strong negotiation and forecasting skills. Monday–Friday start early, with a performance bonus opportunity.

Qualifications

• Experience buying fresh fish or seafood in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with short shelf-life categories like fresh produce/meat/chilled foods is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Purchase fresh fish and seafood based on customer demand and forecasts.
• Negotiate price, availability and volumes with suppliers.
• Manage stock to balance availability with waste and exposure.
• Monitor market pricing and supply conditions.
• Provide pricing/availability support to Sales and National Accounts.
• Forecast demand using sales data and market trends.
• Identify opportunities to maximise sales and margins from stock.
• Coordinate with leadership on stock, pricing and key issues.
• Maintain supplier and internal communications throughout the day.
