French Teacher - Northampton

Location: Northampton

Contract Type: Full‑Time Long‑Term Supply or Permanent

What You'll Be Doing:

• Teaching French across Key Stages 3 and 4 (KS5/A‑Level opportunities available in some schools)
• Planning and delivering engaging lessons that build vocabulary, grammar knowledge, fluency, and cultural awareness
• Supporting students of all abilities through differentiated teaching and constructive feedback
• Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident speaking and using the language
• Working collaboratively with the wider MFL department on curriculum planning, assessment, and enrichment activities such as language clubs, cultural events, or overseas trips

What We're Looking For:

• A qualified French teacher with QTS/QTLS or equivalent
• Strong subject knowledge of the French curriculum and GCSE exam specifications (A‑Level desirable but not essential)
• A confident classroom practitioner with strong behaviour management and high expectations
• Passionate about French language and Francophone culture, with the ability to motivate and inspire learners
• Applications welcome from both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs) – full induction support provided
