Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and qualified French & German Teacher to join our dynamic teaching team for a school in the Aston, Birmingham Area. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of both the French and German language and culture, a passion for teaching, and the ability to engage students in immersive language experiences. You will be responsible for delivering high‑quality French language instruction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging French and German language lessons to students studying at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
  • Develop and implement a curriculum that covers listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methods and resources to cater to different learning styles and abilities.
  • Assess and evaluate student progress, providing timely feedback and support to ensure academic growth.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and language practice.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in language education and integrate them into your teaching.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall educational experience and participate in professional development opportunities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in MFL, Education
  • Teaching certification/licence in French, German or a relevant subject area.
  • Proven experience teaching French and German at secondary level.
  • Native or near‑native proficiency in French and German.
  • Strong knowledge of French and German language pedagogy.
