Overview

At LEMAN, we’re all about moving goods throughout Europe – smoothly and efficiently. Our team in Normanton, West Yorkshire, plays a big part in making that happen. Right now, we’re looking for a Freight Forwarding Assistant (12-month contract) to join us.

You’ll be working with a variety of customers, planning their shipments in the most cost-effective way while keeping service levels top-notch. No two days are the same – and that’s half the fun.

What you’ll be doing
  • Accept and check customer bookings
  • Update customer portals
  • Plan and coordinate road freight shipments
  • Be the main contact for customers – handling inquiries, fixing issues, and keeping relationships strong
  • Take care of administration tasks for International Transport
  • Check and approve supplier invoices
  • Allocate supplier costs in our TMS system
  • Any other ad hoc duties
What we hope you’ll bring
  • Great customer service skills
  • Confidence with logistics software and Microsoft Office packages
  • Experience in the logistics and transportation industry (an advantage, not a dealbreaker)
