YOUR ROLE

Our Project Logistics team based in Altens, Aberdeenshire have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and customer-focused Freight Forwarding Coordinator to support specialist import and export transportation needs via air and ocean freight. This role is Monday to Friday, based in the Altens office, working with an experienced team of freight forwarding professionals.

What you are going to do

• Report to our Project Logistics Operations Manager and manage end-to-end multi-modal transport coordination to ensure seamless operational and customer service excellence.
• Prepare shipping documentation, track shipment progress, and keep clients updated on service delivery and delays. Liaise with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery and build strong working relationships.
• Act as the first point of contact for customer queries and handling complaints; provide problem-solving solutions in a professional manner. Ensure accurate data entry into systems to enable appropriate invoicing and billing.

What we are looking for

• Proven air or ocean freight experience in a multi-modal or freight forwarding environment.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to form internal and external relationships; excellent customer service, logical thinking, and problem-solving abilities; capable of prioritising workload with efficiency and accuracy.
• Excellent IT skills with familiarity of freight systems (CargoWise) and MS Office (Outlook, Excel).
• Experience in out-of-gauge/heavy haulage or the oil and gas industry in a freight forwarding role is advantageous.
