Electrify Video Partners is a dynamic new digital media company that invests in and scales creators with an established YouTube presence. Our mission is to turn creators into global media businesses by building teams, scaling the production and distribution of their content, and introducing new revenue streams across platforms. We acquire between 50% and 100% of creator businesses with an established YouTube presence, have invested in leading channels, and have raised multiple funding rounds.

About the role

Join us at Fireship, one of the biggest software engineering and tech channels on YouTube. The channel is known for high‑energy, fast‑paced tutorials and breakdowns of programming, software development, and technology trends. With a loyal following of over 3.8 million subscribers, Fireship delivers bite‑sized, informative, and entertaining tech content that makes complex topics easy to understand.

We are looking for talented and creative freelance Video Editors to join our remote content production team. Ideal candidates have experience in story‑based video editing and a strong interest in technology, coding, and development. Experience creating tutorial‑based or tech‑oriented videos is a huge advantage.

Key Responsibilities

• Play a key role in the production and video editing of Fireship’s YouTube content to increase the quantity and variety of output, contributing to growth and engagement.
• Proactively source, select, and import relevant media elements (videos, images) to elevate scripts and voice‑overs into dynamic video content.
• Collaborate closely with creators and scriptwriters to align with the overall storytelling vision, while demonstrating initiative and producing high‑quality work that meets expectations.
• Maintain organized project files and documentation to ensure easy access to assets and seamless collaboration with team members.
• Keep up to date with internet culture and news from the tech world.

Requirements

• Proven experience in video editing with a strong editorial portfolio that demonstrates expertise in digital content creation for YouTube and short‑form video that tells a story with archive images.
• Confident use of keyframe animation for ‘faceless’ video content.
• Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Strong attention to detail, ensuring consistency in the use of fonts, colors, styles, and visual elements as per the Fireship brand, while elevating production value.
• Experience working with programming or tech‑related content is highly desirable, with the ability to understand complex topics and break them down into digestible, engaging video formats.
• A passion for technology, programming, and digital content creation, with a keen interest in staying up‑to‑date on industry trends and best practices.
• YouTube is your primary source of media for education and entertainment, enabling you to craft YouTube videos that maximise engagement and audience retention.
