Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager for a secure environment project in Wigan. The role involves leading construction activities, coordinating contracts, and ensuring compliance with secure access rules on a long-term refurb/new build site.

The ideal candidate has EL1/EL2/CVT clearance or willingness to be put through clearance, with at least four years in construction and a valid UK driving licence preferred. Day rates apply; weekly pay.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of construction experience, preferably in secure environments.
• Experience with public sector, MoJ, prison or secure environment projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage construction activities to keep the project on time and within budget.
• Coordinate and manage contracts and subcontractors.
• Ensure full compliance with secure environment procedures and site access rules.
• Maintain daily records and progress reports; liaise with client and authorities.
• Monitor HSE and ensure high safety and quality standards.
