About the Project

My client is an agile SME Design & Build contractor delivering high-quality commercial fitouts across London. Their next project is a 12-week CAT B office fit-out in Central London, valued at £1.5m. They\'re actively looking for a freelance Site Manager to take full ownership of site delivery, ensuring quality, safety, and programme are maintained throughout.

The Role

As Site Manager, you\'ll be the lead on-site, managing subcontractors, coordinating logistics, and ensuring the project is delivered to spec. You\'ll report directly to the Project Manager and act as the face of the business on site.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure smooth delivery.
• Maintain programme and coordinate trades to meet key milestones.
• Enforce health & safety protocols and maintain site documentation.
• Ensure quality control and snag-free handover.
• Liaise with client reps, consultants, and internal teams.
• Manage deliveries, site logistics, and subcontractor performance.
• Conduct inductions, toolbox talks, and site audits.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing CAT B fit-out projects (ideally £1m-£5m)
• Strong understanding of D&B delivery and commercial interiors
• Valid SMSTS and CSCS (essential)
• London-based or able to commute daily to Central London
