Job description

I am currently recruiting for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join my client initially on a 3 month contract. Flexible working is offered but site visits to North East Lincolnshire is required weekly.

The scheme involves transforming an existing retail centre into a modern mixed-use retail and leisure destination, including a new cinema complex and associated facilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded QS who enjoys working autonomously and has strong procurement experience within the construction or fit-out sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the procurement of trade packages and subcontractors
• Prepare and issue tender documentation and evaluate returns
• Provide cost planning, budget management, and commercial reporting support
• Work closely with the project management and design teams to ensure cost efficiency and programme alignment
• Offer commercial input during early construction stages

Candidate Requirements

• Proven background as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within retail, leisure, or mixed-use developments
• Strong understanding of procurement processes and cost management
• Capable of working independently, with flexibility for occasional site visits to Grimsby
• Excellent stakeholder and supplier communication skills
