A civil engineering subcontractor is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their team starting in January 2026. We're excited to be adding a Quantity Surveyor to our team from January 2026, supporting one of our long-standing clients— a highly respected civil engineering subcontractor delivering a major civils / highways scheme under NEC Option B. This opportunity is available on a freelance (likely outside IR35) or permanent basis.

Location

Based between our client's offices on the edge of Leeds, with regular site visits to Huddersfield.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Measurement of works and preparation of monthly valuations
  • Identification, notification, and pricing of change
  • Producing cost & value forecasts to project completion
  • Liaising with the client and subcontractors
  • Ensuring subcontractor procurement and payments follow company procedures
  • Supporting strong commercial governance throughout the project lifecycle

The project duration is just over 12 months, offering stability and the chance to become a core part of our delivery team.

Additional Opportunities

There is also scope to get involved in other areas of our business, including supporting our dispute resolution department if this is an area you'd like to gain experience in.
