A recognized recruitment agency is seeking a Freelance Mechanical Site Manager to oversee commercial and education sector projects in Eastbourne. This role involves managing daily installation activities, supervising teams, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, and maintaining site records. The ideal candidate has experience in M&E projects, strong knowledge of HVAC systems, and holds relevant certifications. This position offers a competitive rate of £300 - £350 per day.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable experience as a Mechanical Site Manager / Supervisor on M&E projects.
• Commercial or education sector experience desirable.
• Ability to lead teams and maintain programme momentum.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily mechanical site activities and installation programmes.
• Supervise direct labour and specialist subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with H&S, RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.
• Deliver toolbox talks, inductions and site briefings.
• Monitor installation quality, snagging and defect close-out.
• Liaise with the Project Manager, design teams and client representatives.
• Coordinate materials, plant, deliveries and logistics.
• Maintain site records, progress reports and as-built information.
