Job summary

Tagged Resources Ltd is seeking an experienced Freelance Ladieswear Designer to join a busy team specialising in mature ladieswear. The ideal candidate will have strong all-round womenswear design experience across Tops & Blouses, Dresses, Knitwear, Trousers, Jackets, and coordinated pieces.

You will design commercial, wearable collections, create new styles and develop existing designs, perform CAD design for sampling with accurate size specifications, and craft prints, patterns and colourways.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Ladieswear Designer.
• Strong knowledge of the mature ladieswear market.
• Excellent all-round product knowledge.
• Strong CAD skills and experience preparing designs for sampling.
• Experience creating original prints and artwork.
• Understanding garment construction, fit and sizing.
• Commercial eye with customer and market focus.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a small team.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for an experienced Freelance Ladieswear Designer to join a busy team, specialising in mature ladieswear.

The ideal candidate will have strong all-round womenswear design experience and be confident designing across a wide range of product categories, including:

• Tops & blouses
• Dresses
• Knitwear
• Trousers & bottoms
• Jackets & outerwear
• Co-ordinated pieces and other ladieswear

Key Responsibilities

• Designing commercial, stylish and wearable collections for the mature ladieswear market
• Creating new styles and developing existing designs
• CAD design and preparation for sampling, including accurate size specifications
• Creating and developing prints, patterns and colourways
• Working closely with the sampling and production process to ensure designs are clearly communicated
• Keeping up to date with current fashion trends while understanding the needs of the mature customer
• Working independently and managing deadlines across multiple projects

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with:

Working Pattern

Freelance - 2 days per week in the office, with the possibility of 3 days depending on workload.
