URBN, owner of Urban Outfitters, seeks a highly skilled Freelance Footwear Designer to join on a contract basis. The role sits at the intersection of commercial viability, social-first culture, and street-level trend forecasting.

You will spot emerging viral footwear styles, create factory-ready tech packs, work with product development to hit price points, and help build a balanced UO footwear range across boots, casuals, sneakers, sandals, and statement pieces.

Qualifications

• Footwear design experience (4+ years) with deep understanding of construction, materials, and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to identify viral trends early for a youth/urban audience.
• Ability to design within price architectures and maintain brand aesthetics.

Responsabilités

• Spot and react to fast-moving footwear trends and micro-trends.
• Create detailed, factory-ready tech packs with specs and colorways.
• Collaborate with product development to meet price points and margins.
• Review tech packs and prototypes with developers for design integrity.
• Build a balanced footwear range across key UO categories (boots, casuals, sneakers, sandals, statement pieces).
