Job summary

A specialist Passive Fire Protection contractor is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Supervisor in the UK. You will oversee fire door installations and ensure compliance with safety standards across various residential projects. The ideal candidate has a valid driving licence, CSCS card, and experience in Passive Fire Protection works. This role offers a competitive day rate of £230-£240 and opportunities for permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Valid Driving Licence required.
• CSCS card is essential.
• SSSTS or SMSTS certification is necessary.
• First Aid certification is required.
• Proven experience supervising Passive Fire Protection works.
• Strong understanding of health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities related to fire door installation.
• Ensure compliance with Passive Fire Protection standards.
• Oversee subcontractors on site.
• Conduct daily site briefings and maintain documentation.
• Liaise with clients and internal teams.
• Monitor quality control and sign off completed works.

The successful candidate will oversee fire door installation and remediation works, ensuring high-quality delivery, compliance, and safety on site.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily site activities related to fire door installation, upgrades, and remedial works.
• Ensure compliance with Passive Fire Protection standards and building regulations.
• Oversee subcontractors and trades on site, ensuring work is completed safely and to specification.
• Conduct daily site briefings, toolbox talks, and maintain documentation.
• Liaise with clients, residents, and internal teams to maintain smooth project progress.
• Monitor quality control and sign off completed works.

Requirements (Essential)

• Valid Driving Licence
• CSCS card
• SSSTS or SMSTS
• First Aid certification
• Proven experience supervising fire door or Passive Fire Protection works
• Strong understanding of health & safety

Preferable

• Asbestos Awareness certificate
• Experience in the residential sector
• Own vehicle (highly advantageous)

Contract Details

• Start: Immediate
• Day Rate: £230-£240
