Job summary

Assistive Solutions requires a Freelance Specialist Mentor to provide one-on-one mentoring for students facing mental health and autism-related challenges in the Guildford area. You will support emotional wellbeing, organisation, and study skills through tailored sessions.

You will log sessions, provide monthly summaries for invoicing, and maintain records using the Assistive App, while ensuring confidentiality and safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Membership of a DSA-approved professional body (e.g., BACP, UKCP, NCS, HCPC).
• Autism-specific training, including NMH modules or autism/ADHD in higher education.
• Experience providing 1:1 mentoring or support to individuals with mental health conditions or autism.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate personalised, one-on-one mentoring sessions addressing emotional and practical support.
• Create individualised learning plans and strategies to help students overcome challenges.
