Job summary

Premium Linguistic Services (PLS) is seeking freelance Azerbaijani interpreters for remote telephone and video interpreting across the UK. You will work from a quiet space, handling assignments on a flexible basis.

No formal interpreting qualification is required, and applicants with strong language and communication skills are encouraged to apply. DBS may be needed before assignments, and Right to Work in the UK is essential.

Qualifications

• Fluent in English and Azerbaijani.
• Right to Work in the UK; DBS preferred or willing to obtain one.

• Experience with telephone/video interpreting is a plus.

Responsibilities

Would you like to use your language skills professionally while working remotely?

Premium Linguistic Services (PLS) is looking for friendly, reliable and professional freelance interpreters to provide telephone and video interpreting services across the UK.

Whether you are an experienced interpreter or looking to put your language skills to professional use, we would be delighted to hear from you.

No formal interpreting qualification? You can still apply.

As a Freelance Remote Interpreter, you will help people overcome language barriers through telephone and video interpreting.

Working remotely from a quiet and private environment, you will help individuals and professionals communicate clearly, accurately and confidently.

You will listen carefully, interpret conversations faithfully and ensure that the meaning and tone of each speaker are communicated as accurately as possible.

This is a flexible freelance role, giving you the freedom to accept opportunities based on your availability.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide clear, accurate and impartial interpretation
• Deliver interpreting services by telephone and/or video
• Convey the meaning and tone of conversations as accurately as possible
• Maintain confidentiality at all times
• Remain impartial and maintain professional boundaries
• Communicate respectfully with everyone involved
• Be punctual, reliable and prepared for assignments
• Remain calm and professional, including during sensitive situations
• Maintain a high standard of professional conduct

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

A formal interpreting qualification is not required.

We welcome both qualified and non-qualified applicants. Previous interpreting experience or a relevant qualification is an advantage, but it is not essential.
