Gunnersbury Park & Museum seeks a freelance Artist Facilitator to plan and deliver a printmaking workshop for Young Curators at Gunnersbury Park Museum, West London. The role includes teaching techniques, guiding participants to produce market-ready prints, and sharing experience to inspire future creative pathways.

The project runs for one day with planning time prior; experience with makers markets and DBS checks are advantageous. Applications welcome from varied backgrounds.

Freelance Artist Facilitator - Printmaking

Rate of pay:

£40 per hour for a three-hour workshop

£15 per hour for planning and preparing the workshop

Gunnersbury Park and Museum will host a Local Makers Market for Christmas at the museum this year. Our Young Curators will have a stall to showcase crafts that they have created and sell them to fundraise for the museum.

Printmaking was chosen by the Young Curators themselves, as they would like to explore printmaking to create different products, from cards to tote bags to T-shirts.

As Artist Facilitator, you will:

  • Lead and facilitate a printmaking workshop for the Young Curators session on Sat 17 October 2026.
  • Introduce and demonstrate different techniques to help the Young Curators explore different creative practices
  • Support the Young Curators to create different high-quality prints for the Young Curators to fundraise for Gunnersbury Museum at the Christmas Market.
  • Share knowledge of own experiences on Makers Markets and other creative activities to inspire participants on different career pathways in the creative sector

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has experience of planning, delivering and leading engaging and participatory arts workshops with adults, children and young people
  • Has an arts background or working practice in the arts, especially in the makers market sphere
  • Can produce high-quality artwork with the group
  • Can communicate effectively with the group, Gunnersbury Park and Museum staff and volunteers
  • Can work within strict materials budgets
  • Has an existing an enhanced DBS check and/or updated service

Having experience in running a crafts business or trading in makers markets would be a bonus, but isn't essential.

While we are happy to hear from all applicants, we are particularly interested in hearing from people from a global majority background, aged 18-25, and/or have connections to Ealing and Hounslow areas.
