Job summary

CMC Consulting Ltd in Hertfordshire is seeking an experienced Fraud Manager to own the organisation's fraud risk management approach. The role offers the opportunity to embed the fraud strategy, strengthen controls, and build a strong fraud-aware culture across the business.

Working closely with Internal Audit & Risk and senior stakeholders, you will identify emerging risks, prevent fraud, and ensure robust processes to investigate and respond to incidents. Part-time arrangements are welcome.

Qualifications

• Experience in fraud risk management, prevention, detection and/or investigations.
• Experience developing fraud frameworks, policies and controls.
• Understanding UK fraud and financial crime requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the organisation's anti-fraud strategy and framework
• Lead regular fraud risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and emerging risks
• Develop and strengthen fraud prevention and detection controls
• Lead and support fraud investigations, including evidence gathering, documentation and reporting
• Review and improve fraud policies, procedures and response protocols
• Provide expert advice to stakeholders on fraud risk and controls
• Deliver fraud awareness training across the organisation
• Work with Internal Audit & Risk to assess the effectiveness of fraud-related controls
• Provide clear reporting and recommendations to senior leadership

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experiencedFraud Manager to join a growing organisation and take ownership of its fraud risk management approach.

This newly created role offers opportunities to develop and embed the organisation's fraud strategy, strengthen controls, and build a strong fraud-aware culture across the business.

Working closely with the Internal Audit & Risk function and senior stakeholders, you'll play a key role in identifying emerging risks, preventing fraud and ensuring robust processes are in place to investigate and respond to incidents.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the organisation's anti-fraud strategy and framework
• Lead regular fraud risk assessments, identifying vulnerabilities and emerging risks
• Develop and strengthen fraud prevention and detection controls

About You

You'll be an experienced fraud, financial crime, investigations, forensic, internal audit or risk professional.

We're particularly interested in candidates with:

• Strong experience across fraud risk management, prevention, detection and/or investigations
• Experience developing fraud frameworks, policies and controls
• A good understanding of UK fraud and financial crime requirements
• Strong analytical and investigative skills
• The ability to work confidently with senior stakeholders and handle sensitive matters discreetly
• A relevant qualification such as CFE, CIA, IRM or equivalent is advantageous
