Job summary

Hanami International is seeking a Fraud & Investigations Manager in Birmingham on a hybrid basis, requiring in-office presence once per week. The role focuses on leading fraud investigations, internal audit support, and governance improvement across the organisation.

You will manage investigations into fraud, misconduct and compliance matters, conduct interviews, produce reports, and work with Internal Audit, Risk, Legal, Finance and Compliance teams to strengthen controls.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant field and professional qualifications preferred (CFE/CIA).
• Proven experience in fraud investigations, compliance reviews, and/or internal audit.
• Strong governance, internal controls and fraud risk management knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations relating to fraud, misconduct, whistleblowing concerns, conflicts of interest and other compliance matters.
• Conduct fact-finding reviews, interviews, evidence gathering and root cause analysis.
• Produce high-quality investigation reports with practical recommendations for management.
• Partner with Internal Audit, Risk, Legal, Finance and Compliance to address control deficiencies and governance concerns.
• Support development and enhancement of fraud prevention frameworks, policies and procedures.
• Identify emerging risks and recommend control improvements to reduce exposure to fraud and misconduct.
• Utilise data analytics and investigative tools to support case reviews and identify trends.
• Monitor remediation actions to ensure improvements are implemented.
• Support governance reporting and provide updates to senior stakeholders.
• Deliver fraud awareness and governance training across the organisation.
