Job summary

Moniepoint Inc. is seeking a Data Analyst (Fraud) to investigate attacks, quantify impact, and present actionable insights. You will collaborate with fraud operations, data scientists, engineers, and product managers to implement mitigations and build dashboards that monitor fraud trends.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in fraud data analysis, strong SQL skills, and experience with BI tools. A proactive mindset and excellent communication are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Data Analyst (Fraud) or similar (4+ years)
• Strong problem solving skills
• Advanced proficiency with SQL and complex queries
• Experience in fraud, risk or financial services and mitigation trade-offs
• Proactive mindset and ability to dig in without direction
• Exposure to Python or scripting for data manipulation
• BI tool proficiency (PowerBI, Looker, Tableau, Superset, Redash)
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence decisions with data
• Comfort in fast-paced, cross-functional teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and master new technologies and techniques
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Statistics/Math/Engineering or related field

Responsibilities

• Investigate fraud attacks, quantify impact, and present findings to drive prioritisation
• Propose and refine rule-based mitigations with fraud ops and engineering
• Build and maintain dashboards to monitor fraud trends and metrics
• Collaborate with fraud ops, data scientists, engineers, and product managers to translate insights into action
• Identify emerging patterns and flag risks before they escalate
