Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Fraud Analyst to protect customers and the business from fraud, working within the Fraud Analytics team across debit and credit card portfolios. You will use SAS/SQL and leading fraud platforms to identify threats and optimise detection strategies while balancing customer experience and operational efficiency.

You will analyse fraud trends, produce MI for governance, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to drive smarter decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven experience using SAS, SQL or similar analytical tools to develop data-driven solutions.
• Hands-on experience with fraud detection platforms (Falcon, Broadcom, Actimise, Feedzai, TS2).
• Experience optimizing fraud detection systems, strategies, models or rules.
• Experience producing MI and performance insights for stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving and ability to translate data into recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and optimise fraud detection systems and models, balancing prevention with customer experience.
• Analyse fraud trends and performance to support fraud loss budgeting and investment decisions.
• Produce regular MI and reports for governance forums and stakeholders.
• Contribute to ongoing development of fraud strategies and data-driven decision making.
