Job summary

Nationwide is seeking a Financial Crime Analytics Consultant to help protect members by developing and improving fraud detection and prevention controls. You’ll work with stakeholders across the business to optimize detection rules, monitor performance, and implement innovative solutions.

You’ll bring SQL/SAS experience in financial services and a background in Economic Crime, Fraud, or AML, with strong Excel and analytical capabilities. Hybrid working is supported across UK sites.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in Economic Crime, Fraud, AML or related financial crime environment.
• Adept knowledge of fraud typologies, payment journeys and detection controls.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel usage for data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance fraud detection strategies to identify suspicious activity.
• Monitor detection performance and interrogate complex data to improve prevention controls.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the business to shape responses to emerging threats.
