Job summary

Clarks is seeking an enthusiastic Store Supervisor/Assistant Manager to support the Store Manager in all store operations and lead the sales team to achieve commercial objectives.

You will oversee the floor, coach and develop the team, ensure great customer experience, monitor CSAT and KPIs, and participate in Visual Merchandising to present best-practice retail standards.

You'll build capability, manage tasks, and address people issues to keep store running smoothly in the manager's absence.

• Retail management experience with team leadership.
• Strong coaching skills.
• Clear communicator who explains tasks and reasons.
• Inspires and motivates a store team with pride and energy.
• Experience with people processes and team development.
• Track record of delivering and exceeding sales targets.
• Organised and proactive with task management.
• Good commercial sense and use of store systems.
• Knowledge of Visual Merchandising.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate selling behaviours and lead the sales team to meet KPIs.
• Support Store Manager to engage and coach team to hit targets.
• Oversee the sales floor with Floor Control to maintain a great store.
• Review CSAT insights to improve customer experience and operations.
• Support operations and Visual Merchandising to deliver standards.
• Upskill product knowledge to drive sales.
• Organise and prioritise tasks to protect sales and service.
• Provide regular feedback to motivate the team.
• Assist Store Manager with people issues to prevent escalation.
• Build capability to manage store in the absence of the Store Manager.
