Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist (Band 7) to join frailty teams at University Hospital Hairmyres and University Hospital Monklands. You will assess, rehabilitate, and plan safe discharge for older people living with frailty, applying home first principles.

You will be part of a 7‑day service, with weekends and public holidays included. Full or part‑time hours will be considered, with opportunities for development and service improvement within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• Registered health professional with registration (NMC/HCPC/GPHC).
• Masters level education or working towards with clinical focus.
• Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice or equivalent.
• Breadth of knowledge to lead safety and best practice in speciality.
• Awareness of current clinical guidelines and standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and treat older adults with frailty in various settings.
• Plan and evaluate programmes of care and safe discharge planning.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team and contribute to service improvements.
• Maintain professional codes of conduct and participate in research initiatives.
