Job summary

People Puzzles Ltd is seeking an experienced People Director or senior HR consultant for a flexible portfolio career across the West Midlands, including Birmingham, Coventry and Wolverhampton. You will lead people strategy, support business leaders, and help organisations transform through their people.

This role offers autonomy while benefitting from our national brand, collaborative network, and marketing/lead generation support to build a thriving consulting practice.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in senior HR leadership (HR Director/CHRO/CPO).
• Comfortable operating at Board level and with business leaders.
• Strong ability to translate people strategy into business outcomes.
• Experience driving transformation and culture initiatives.
• Skilled with HR technology and data analytics to inform decisions.

You’ll have experience of:

• Developing and executing people strategies that support business growth and organisational performance
• Partnering with Boards, Executive Teams and senior stakeholders to shape business direction
• Leading organisational change, transformation and culture initiatives
• Improving leadership capability and building high-performing teams
• Designing effective organisational structures and operating models
• Developing talent, succession and workforce plans
• Enhancing employee engagement, wellbeing and performance
• Building trusted relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels
• Using commercial insight and people data to support business decision-making
• Balancing strategic thinking with hands‑on delivery to achieve measurable outcomes

You’ll be naturally curious, commercially minded and comfortable challenging thinking to help leaders make better decisions.
