Job summary

Kodamai Ltd. is seeking a Fractional CFO to lead cash flow, budgeting, and statutory compliance across UK, US, and KSA entities. The role requires significant CFO/FD experience in venture-backed tech or deeptech, with a hands-on approach in a small team.

You will partner with outsourced accountants and tax advisers, manage banking relationships, and advise on fundraising readiness. UK-based, with occasional travel to Glasgow; 1–2 days per week on a consultancy basis.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with CFO or FD experience.
• Experience in venture-backed tech or deeptech, pre-Series A to B.
• Experience leading multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction groups (UK/US essential; Middle East a plus).

Responsibilities

• Own cash flow forecasting and runway planning.
• Review monthly management accounts and provide insights for leaders.
• Prepare the finance section of board packs and present to the board.
• Process owner for annual budgeting.
• Ensure statutory filings and compliance for UK, US and KSA entities.

• Lead auditors and cross-border tax advisers, incl. transfer pricing and R&D credits.

Fractional CFO – AI- driven- Kodamai Ltd Glasgow, U.K. (1–2 days/week, Remote U.K.)

Kelvingrove is live in production at First Mills, a Tadawul-listed manufacturer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, running agentic workflows across finance, workforce, logistics, and production planning. Kodamai's team of more than 40 30, most of whom hold PhDs, is now engaged with enterprises across North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia-Pacific, and is building its presence in the United States.

Key responsibilities

• Own cash flow forecasting and runway planning, and keep the board and leadership ahead of the numbers
• Review and sign off monthly management accounts prepared by our outsourced accountants, and turn them into insight for key leaders within the business
• Prepare the finance section of board packs and present to the board
• Process owner for annual budgeting process
• Ensure statutory filings and compliance are correct and on time for our UK, KSA and US entities
• Manage 3rd party banking relationships and any associated Treasury requirements
• Lead the relationship with auditors and cross-border tax advisers, including transfer pricing, permanent establishment and R&D tax credits
• Advise on fundraising readiness, investor due diligence, and build finance controls that scale

What you’ll bring

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or ICAS) with significant CFO or FD experience
• Track record in venture-backed tech or deeptech businesses, ideally pre-Series A to Series B
• Hands-on experience running multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction groups. UK and US are essential and Middle East (KSA) is a strong plus
• Comfort working alongside outsourced accountancy firms and specialist tax advisers
• Clear, board-level communication and a practical, low-ego approach to working in a small team
