Job description

Fraser Edwards is currently recruiting for an experienced FRA Site Manager on behalf of our client for a long-term contract within the social housing sector across Enfield and surrounding areas.

Our client is a respected and growing Social Housing Contractor with a strong reputation for quality and compliance in fire safety remedial works. This is an exciting opportunity to be a key player in ensuring safe and compliant living environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the day-to-day site delivery of FRA remedial works, including fire door installations, compartmentation, and fire-stopping.
  • Supervise site teams including supervisors, carpenters, and passive fire stoppers to ensure work is carried out to required standards.
  • Oversee and coordinate subcontractor activity on-site to maintain workflow and quality.
  • Assist in planning site activities and ensuring efficient use of resources and labour.
  • Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks, and daily briefings to uphold H&S and site compliance.
  • Monitor project progress, address any on-site issues, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain clear communication with residents, the client team, and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure accurate and timely record-keeping including site diaries, H&S documentation, and progress reports.
  • Ensure all works are conducted in compliance with fire safety legislation and building regulations.
Site-Level Responsibilities
  • Ensure the health, safety, and welfare of all staff and subcontractors on site.
  • Conduct quality checks and manage snagging processes as required.
  • Support the FRA Project Manager with progress updates and key site information.
  • Report on-site performance, risks, and incidents to the management team.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, quality workmanship, and continuous improvement.
Preferred Qualifications / Certifications
  • SMSTS or SSSTS (essential)
  • First Aid at Work
  • Asbestos Awareness
  • FIRAS or BM TRADA certification (advantageous)
  • FDIS (Fire Door Inspection Scheme) certification (desirable)
