Job summary

CALIBER8 PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced Project Cost Controller for FPSO projects, rotating between Singapore and client shipyard sites in China. You will develop cost control systems, manage budgets, and produce detailed financial reports to support project decisions.

The role requires strong analytical skills, accounting and project cost knowledge, and proficiency with Excel and MS Office. Experience in engineering projects and shipboard operations is beneficial.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with focus on cost optimisation and financial efficiency.
• Sound knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting, and financial reporting for engineering projects.
• Professional qualifications such as CA or QS accreditation are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain an effective project cost control system in line with company policies.
• Establish cost coding structures and WBS integrating project controls, finance and operations.
• Prepare budgets and monitor commitments, variations, and forecasted expenditures.
• Collaborate with procurement to review terms and support cost optimisations.
• Design and maintain cost dashboards using Excel and internal systems for real-time visibility.
• Prepare asset cost management strategies and direct cost estimates with periodic reviews.
• Produce weekly/monthly financial reports on budget, commitments and cash flow.
