Morson Edge is seeking an FPGA Firmware Engineer (VHDL) for a primarily onsite role in the South East UK. You will work within a multidisciplinary team on high-speed FPGA and SoC development for embedded applications, spanning from concept through early production.

The ideal candidate has strong VHDL experience, familiarity with FPGA toolchains, and a track record of delivering structured firmware development and verification. This contract offers a competitive day rate and IR35 Inside terms.

Qualifications

• Experience in FPGA development and VHDL-based firmware.
• Background in progressing firmware from concept to production.
• Strong understanding of timing constraints and FPGA optimisation.

Responsabilités

• Capture and manage firmware requirements.
• Design, develop, and analyse FPGA-based firmware (VHDL).
• Produce technical documentation and support design reviews.
• Develop test, verification, and integration plans.
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers on system integration.
• Modify and maintain existing firmware and test benches.
• Support designs through structured development processes.
