Overview

At CesiumAstro, we are developers and pioneers of out-of-the-box communication systems for satellites, UAVs, launch vehicles, and other space and airborne platforms. We are seeking hands-on, interactive, and autonomous individuals to join our team.

In this position, you will work closely with CesiumAstro engineers on FPGA circuits and systems through all phases of the development process. Areas of focus include design, verification, testing, and deployment at the HDL level, including the development of relevant support software.

The ideal candidate will have experience with FPGA hardware and embedded systems design and an interest in DSP and communications technology.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineers to design, verify, test, and deploy FPGA-based circuits and systems at the HDL level.
  • Develop relevant support software as part of the HDL development process.
Qualifications
  • Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Physics from an accredited university.
  • Experience in implementing FPGA systems at the HDL level.
  • Good knowledge of VHDL or Verilog.
  • Programming experience using Python.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Experience
  • Understanding of basic digital communications and DSP.
  • Familiarity with system development tools such as Xilinx Vivado or similar embedded FPGA development environments, including digital simulation tools.
  • Practical experience designing and building FPGA systems.
  • Experience using GIT or a similar revision control system.
