Line Up Aviation is seeking an experienced FPGA Design Engineer in Stevenage for a 12-month contract, onsite 3-4 days/week. The role requires strong VHDL/SystemVerilog/UVM skills, experience with Xilinx/Intel/Microsemi FPGAs, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. Clearance SC is required before starting, and the role offers up to £90 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35.

Formación

• Degree qualified or equivalent with FPGA experience.

Responsabilidades

• Generate complex FPGA architectures and designs (VHDL, Simulink) for Xilinx/Intel/Microsemi devices.
• Verify FPGA implementations using VHDL and SystemVerilog/UVM methodologies.
• Use FPGA design tools and Mentor verification tools (QuestaSim, ModelSim).
• Develop low-level software (C) to support FPGA test and integration.
• Document and configure designs to a high professional standard.
• Collaborate in a multidiscipline team to deliver complex FPGA projects.

Our client has an opportunity for an FPGA Design Engineer to join them on a 12-month contract with possible extension.

For this role, we are seeking an experienced FPGA design and verification engineer (~4+ years), to support the development of our growing portfolio of complex FPGA projects. The current portfolio ranges from advanced signal processing systems (Image\\Radio), core embedded processing systems, through to safety & security critical systems.

Role: FPGA Design Engineer

Location: Stevenage 3-4 days onsite per week depending on needs

Hourly Rate: Up to £90 per hour via an Umbrella company, inside IR35

Hours: 35 per week

Clearance: SC required before starting

What you'll be doing:

• Generating complex FPGA architectures and design implementations (VHDL, Simulink etc), targeting Xilinx, Intel, Microsemi devices.
• Verifying complex FPGA implementations using VHDL and System Verilog\\UVM test-bench methodologies.
• Using FPGA design toolsets and Mentor verification tools (QuestaSim & ModelSim).
• Generating low-level software (C) to facilitate FPGA test and integration with the wider embedded system.
• Configuring and Documenting designs to a high professional standard.
• Working as part of a multidiscipline team to deliver complex FPGA based projects.

Requirements:

• Ideally we are looking for candidates that are degree qualified (or equivalent) with significant experience in FPGA development.
• Competent VHDL Language and Design Skills.
• Competent Verification Skills using VHDL and SystemVerilog methodologies
• A deep proven level of experience designing for Xilinx, Intel or Microsemi FPGAs
• Experience of professionally configuring and documenting designs
• Experience of working as part of a large multidiscipline team
