Job summary

Marc Daniels is hiring a FP&A Manager to design, build, and run the FP&A function from the ground up in a manufacturing context. This commercially minded finance professional will shape planning, forecasting and decision-making across operations and commercial teams.

You will connect finance with operations, supply chain, and pricing, developing processes, models and dashboards to drive performance and profitability across sites.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• FP&A experience within manufacturing (multi-site preferred).
• Proven track record setting up or transforming FP&A processes.
• Strong grasp of manufacturing P&L drivers: standard costing, variances, OEE, capacity.
• Advanced Excel and modelling; ERP and BI tools are desirable.
• Ability to translate complex data into actionable insights for senior leaders.
• Hands-on, pragmatic style with the confidence to influence.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement FP&A framework: annual budget, rolling forecasts, monthly re-forecasts, and long-range planning.
• Build driver-based models for volume, mix, price, yield, labour, and overheads.
• Lead monthly performance reviews with site/operations leaders and explain variances.
• Develop standard cost roll-ups, profitability analysis, and capex/ROI modelling.
• Create management packs, dashboards, and KPIs showing plant margins and cash.
• Partner with operations, supply chain, and commercial for pricing and productivity programmes.
• Establish data sources and templates with GL/controlling/operations.
• Coach non-finance leaders on FP&A outputs.
