Job summary

Jobtailor in London is seeking a seasoned FP&A professional to own budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis. You will partner with growth and retail teams to translate financial insights into strategic actions and help steer the company through uncertain market conditions.

You will develop and maintains KPI metrics, collaborate across functions, and drive improvements in planning accuracy. This is a fast-paced, product-led environment in London.

Qualifications

  • Qualified Accountant with experience in a product-led business.
  • Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to connect financial dots to business drivers and communicate them to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-moving environment.
  • Curious and collaborative, builds strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Experience trading internationally is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Own annual budgeting process and quarterly re-forecasting cycle end-to-end.
  • Work with the financial controller on performance reporting and forecast feedback loops.
  • Lead deep-dive commercial analysis: channel profitability, customer economics, market/product modelling.
  • Own and develop the KPI framework; ensure metrics are defined and consistently reported.
  • Maintain the long-range financial model to support fundraising, planning and scenarios.
  • Partner with growth and retail teams to understand financial impact of decisions and identify opportunities.
  • Support finance transformation projects linking FP&A to core financial data.

Job description

Responsibilities
  • Financial planning and budgeting - you\'ll own our annual budgeting process and quarterly re-forecasting cycle end-to-end: coordinating inputs from across the business and producing consolidated plans that are grounded in commercial reality.
  • Management reporting - you\'ll work closely with our financial controller to understand actual performance and build a feedback loop that helps to improve our forecasts.
  • Commercial analysis - you\'ll be our go-to for deep-dive commercial analysis: from channel profitability and customer economics to new market or product launch modelling.
  • KPI framework - you\'ll own and develop our KPI framework, working cross-functionally to ensure financial and operational metrics are well-defined, consistently reported and genuinely used. You\'ll champion the single source of truth.
  • Long-range planning - you\'ll maintain our long-range financial model, supporting fundraising processes, strategic planning and scenario analysis as the business evolves.
  • Business partnering - you\'ll be embedded with our growth and retail teams, helping them understand the financial impact of their decisions, manage their budgets and identify opportunities to drive growth and efficiency.
  • Finance transformation - you\'ll work closely with the Financial Controller and our Data Lead to connect FP\&A to our core financial data, improving the speed, accuracy and automation of our planning and reporting processes.
Requirements
  • Qualified Accountant with experience in a product led business would be an advantage
  • Highly organised, with exceptional attention to detail, you are fussy about your numbers.
  • Commercially sharp with the ability to connect the financial dots to the business drivers and communicate them in a way that lands with non-finance stakeholders
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and energised by a fast-moving environment. You don\'t wait to be told what to do.
  • Curious and collaborative, you build great relationships, take people on the journey and become a great sounding board to your stakeholders.
  • Experience in a business trading internationally would be advantageous.
