Job summary

LivGreen is seeking a commercially minded FP&A Analyst to join our growing Finance team in the UK. Reporting to the FP&A Lead, the role suits a newly qualified ACA/ACCA aiming to develop commercial finance and business partnering experience.

You will work across projects and Business Units, focusing on revenue, costs, margins and forecasting, building relationships with non-finance stakeholders and challenging assumptions to drive profitability.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified ACA, ACCA or equivalent, ideally trained within an accountancy practice.
• Strong grounding in financial accounting and understanding of revenue/cost recognition principles.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills with ability to analyse large volumes of financial/operational data.
• Confident communicator with ability to build relationships with finance and non-finance stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Commercially curious with interest in how projects/Business Units generate revenue and profit.
• Experience auditing or working with project-based businesses would be advantageous.
• Exposure to project accounting/revenue recognition would be beneficial but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of financial analysis and reporting across a portfolio of projects and Business Units.
• Work with operations and commercial teams to ensure revenue and costs are recognised correctly.
• Review project performance: revenue, costs, gross profit and margin; investigate variances.
• Understand project economics and drivers affecting profitability.
• Review forecasts and whole-life margins; challenge assumptions where appropriate.
• Investigate movements in project profitability; identify root causes with ops teams.
• Ensure accruals, WIP, revenue recognition and other project accounting adjustments are correct.
• Help develop consistent project reporting and margin analysis across the business.
• Prepare monthly management reporting and KPI packs; provide commentary on performance.
