Job summary

Retirement Villages Group seeks a Commercial FP&A Analyst to join the finance team in London. You’ll deliver insights, support decision‑making, and drive commercial performance across the Group, collaborating with operations, property and finance teams.

You’ll lead budgeting, quarterly forecasts, scenario modelling, and prepare papers for the Board while helping shape the Group’s data strategy and KPI reporting. Visit villages to understand drivers and validate assumptions.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent professional qualification.
• Strong Excel and Power BI skills with experience in budgeting and forecasting.
• ERP systems experience (SAP/Oracle) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare management reports, dashboards, and scorecards for leadership.
• Lead budgeting, quarterly forecasts, and long-term planning with well-documented assumptions.
• Conduct financial due diligence and provide analyses for strategic initiatives including acquisitions or transformations.
• Analyse commercial performance of products, services, suppliers, and initiatives for growth and cost efficiency.
• Support business case development and post‑investment reviews with scenario modelling.
• Collaborate with operations, property, and finance to ensure accurate reporting and KPI tracking.
• Contribute to data strategy and adoption of new technology platforms.

You’ll work closely with colleagues from finance, operations, and other teams, contributing to projects that shape the future of our villages.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare management reports, balanced scorecards, and dashboards to provide timely, accurate, and insightful financial information for leadershipLead budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term planning processes, ensuring assumptions and scenarios are well-documented and aligned with strategic objectivesManage asset valuations with external valuers and support bi-annual investor valuations, ensuring accuracy and complianceConduct financial due diligence and provide detailed analysis for strategic initiatives, including acquisitions, disposals, and transformation projectsAnalyse commercial performance of new products, services, suppliers, and initiatives, identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost efficiencySupport the development and assessment of business cases, including post-investment performance reviews and scenario modellingCollaborate with operations, property, and finance teams to ensure accurate reporting, track KPIs, and provide actionable insightsContribute to shaping the Group’s data strategy, helping to integrate new technology platforms and optimise data capture and analysisPrepare high-quality papers and presentations for the Board and committees, translating complex financial data into clear, actionable insightsVisit villages on an ad hoc basis to understand operational drivers, validate assumptions, and support improvement initiativesWhat We’re Looking For2–4 years of experience in FP&A, commercial finance, or similar analytical rolesACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified; Big 4 experience preferredStrong Excel and Power BI skills; ERP familiarity (SAP/Oracle) is a plusAnalytical, proactive, and collaborative, with clear communication skillsExperience in real estate, property, or asset management is a bonusWhy Join RVG?This is an opportunity to make a real impact in a growing company.
