Job summary

Investa, based in London with a hybrid office model, is seeking a Software Engineer to join a founding engineering team. You will take end-to-end ownership of core platform features, work across the stack, and level up your technical depth in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You bring 3+ years of commercial software experience, a strong coder mindset, and proficiency in Python/TypeScript/Java/Go, plus cloud exposure (AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• +3 years of commercial software engineering experience, ideally with distributed systems or backend APIs.
• Proficient in at least one modern language (Python/TypeScript/Java/Go) and comfortable with cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong in shipping clean, readable code and taking end-to-end ownership.

Responsibilities

• Founding team ownership: design, build, and maintain robust services with end-to-end ownership.
• Shape engineering culture and collaboration within a small founding team.
• Full-stack development across our FCA-regulated platform and wider stack.
• Contribute to system design and evolving architecture.
• Maintain code quality, testing, and documentation; on-call production support.
