Job summary

Wave Talent in London (Shoreditch) is hiring its first engineer to build the product end to end, focusing on a risk engine for agented purchases and the payment infrastructure that powers transactions. You will own APIs and data pipelines in a hands-on role with founders.

The position offers meaningful equity and direct access to the founding team as you define the technical direction from day one.

Qualifications

• Startup/scale-up experience preferred
• Strong system architecture skills and ownership of APIs/data pipelines
• Depth in ML infrastructure or payments a plus
• Stack: Python or TypeScript; other languages considered
• Commercially minded and hands-on, not just management

Responsibilities

• Build a first-of-its-kind risk engine to quantify AI agent purchases against user intent
• Develop the payment infrastructure layer enabling agent transactions
• Collaborate with design partners to productionize with real transaction data
• Own APIs, data pipelines, and infrastructure decisions
